Playstation

Playstation
Is a game console that has been using the graphics from the 32-bit era. Often also referred to as PSX. Playstation game console is the pioneer who first used the CD as a storage medium and not Catridge. Playstation first launched in Japan on December 3, 1994, the United States on September 9, 1995, and Europe 29 September 1995.

Playstation History

Year 1986
Nintendo started the experiment on the disk technology to replace Catridge on his game console, Famicom. But since the CD medium has several drawbacks such as easy deleting, low endurance, and the dangers of piracy, the experiment had never happened and was limited to just the concept. Finally, Nintendo began to be interested in the CDROM / XA, developed by Sony and Philips. Then Nintendo made a contract with Sony to create a CD-ROM add-on, who then called the SNES-CD. At the same time, Sony are planning other development. Development that will be made of a new type of game console Sony (which became known as the Playstation project) that will match the SNESCD-ROM format.
Year 1989
Nintendo decided to contract with Sony and create a new contract with Philips. This is because after rereading the contract with Sony, Hiroshi Yamauchi as Nintendo top brass realized that Sony are in control the entire certificate concerning SNESCD-ROM. After the contract terminated, Sony announced that Playstation named project will be terminated. But the company eventually decided to continue the project by considering the PlayStation project was almost finished. This led to Nintendo sue Sony breach of contract grounds.
Year 1991
The court decided that Sony was not violating the contract agreement with Nintendo.
Year 1992
Sony and Nintendo made a deal, saying Sony Playstation will continue to use a port for SNES games, while it remained patent rights owned by Nintendo and Nintendo will also benefit from the use of the SNES game.
Year 1993
Playstation finally re-released after the reform concept. Playstation no longer use the SNES port Catridge and deal with Nintendo has been canceled due to disuse Catridge ports on the Playstation, then the agreement is not valid anymore.
Weakness
Optical eye is the main weakness of the Playstation game console. This is because the optical eye is weakened if the Playstation is long enough to use. As a result, in the game to load will spend a long time or the game will be at all was not loading, because the weak optical eye is not able to read the game CD.
